Energy@Work comment to OEB on Client's right to meter access

On February 5 2009, Energy@Work submitted comments(pdf.) to the OEB on the right for clients to have access to their utility meter.

Re: Request for comments by February 5th on the issue of:EB-2008-0297 Code Amendments for Access to the Meter and Meter Data

Energy @ Work supports and, on behalf of our customers, requests that the customer’s right to have ‘practical’ access to their meter and billing be the same as that of their utility. We believe this is the intent of the retail settlement code; however, our experience has encountered very challenging ituations where the Local Distribution Company has been unclear or unwilling to provide a practical solution for customers to access the utility meter.
